Rode School Prospectus
PDF: Rode School Prospectus 2009

Welcome to Rode Methodist VC First School. We are a small school for children aged 4-9, situated in the heart of a vibrant village community. Our environment, buildings, playground and gardens are beautiful and our facilities, including three delightful classrooms, a hall, an outdoor classroom, state-of-the-art technology, an allotment and even a giant sandpit are superb.

The governors and staff of Rode Methodist VC First School share a vision of the importance of the arts in education. We are determined that when children leave Rode they will be successful learners, confident individuals and responsible citizens. We achieve this through a dynamic, child-led curriculum, where learning is innovative, fun and creative. In 2008 Ofsted described our school as 'Outstanding'.

In addition, our Methodist philosophy encourages children to be open and to explore concepts and issues, questioning and searching for answers, in an inclusive environment that values both the individual and diversity. Children at Rode School are cared for and caring. Values, such as tolerance, courage, friendship, freedom and responsibility, to name a few, are openly discussed and encouraged. In 2009 SIAS (Religious Inspectorate) also described our school as 'Outstanding'.

We are proud of the success we are having in educating our pupils and if you are new to our school community we welcome you warmly. By working with you, we know that your child will be a happy and successful learner. The information in this prospectus is to help you to find out about our school. We hope you will find it useful as a guide and would also encourage you to visit our website www.rodeschool.co.uk for further information and links. We hope that you will then find it even more useful as a calendar! (We are working on our Eco-Schools status so we are finding ways of re-using as much as possible!). If you have any queries please contact us and we will be happy to help you.

We love being part of Rode Methodist VC First School and always strive for the very best for all the children in our care. We hope you will share our pleasure and excitement.
