Neighbourhood Policing Survey
Avon and Somerset Constabulary are conducting a quality of life survey to find out what you think the problems are where you live or work (attached). Completed surveys should be returned to the school office.
Merlin Theatre Christmas Market
Saturday 24th November 12 – 4pm
Stacks of stalls, back stage tours, children’s workshops, Father Christmas and the chance to treat yourself to a mince pie or two!

Please return your photograph orders to the school office by Friday 30th November.
Accessibility Plan
Our Accessibility Plan has recently been updated and agreed by governors. If you should wish to view this plan, which sets out priorities and actions needed for us to comply with the Disability Discrimination Act, please ask Mrs Nicol in the office.
Late News!
Please find a report of the matches played by Rode School at the Rode Football Challenge Cup.
Just a few reminders:
Start time: School starts at 9.00am and children should arrive no earlier than 8.50am. On arrival, they should go straight to class. Late arrivals should report to the office to be marked as present in the register as the gate to the playground will be locked at 9.00am.
Medical forms: If your child needs to take any medicines during the course of the day, you are required to complete a ‘Request to administer medication Form’ which is located in the folder tray outside the school office.
Labelling: Please ensure that all uniform, daps etc are labelled clearly with your child’s name.
Jewellery: Please make sure for health and safety reasons that your child does not wear jewellery, except a watch and stud earrings where necessary. Please also ensure long hair is tied back at all times.
Absence from School: If your child is not present at school due to illness or medical appointment please inform the office before 9.30am. It is our policy to contact you if your child is absent and we have not received a message from you confirming the absence.
Holiday absence in Term Time: If you wish to apply to take you child out of school for a holiday during term time you must apply, in advance, using the holiday request form located in the folder tray outside the school office.
Cold weather clothing: Please ensure your child has appropriate cold weather clothing, including a warm coat to use at playtimes, track suit bottoms to wear for PE (All of these should be labelled).
