Rode School hosted another successful fete on Friday 6th July, with plenty of people and lots of sunshine. We had many fun activities and stalls for everyone, including counting the number of sweets, making edible necklaces, painting T-shirts and even guessing the teachers from baby photos!
After a concert led by Mrs. Cooper in our 'bandstand', where the children sang several songs in harmony, the school samba band performed to onlooking crowds. Other highlights included a bouncy castle, barbecue, cream teas, a plant stall and live music. Mrs. Tommey then announced the competition winners and presented the prizes.
Many thanks to all who help make this event so memorable, including the enthusiastic FORS committee. This year the fete raised £900.00, which will be used to help refurbish the school kitchens. Don't miss next year's fete...
