Dear Parents and Carers
The support of parent volunteers in school is greatly valued and it is through these efforts that we are enabled to offer our children such an excellent range of activities and educational experiences.
If you would like to be involved in helping in school either on a rota to help with swimming, or to accompany children on school trips or help in the classroom, it will be necessary for you to complete the enclosed disclosure application form. The attached PDF: booklet and PDF: information sheet should help in completing the form but if you would like further guidance please see Sam Nicol, in the office, who will be able to help.

A PDF: Code of Practice for Police Clearance through the Disclosure Process has been published. It is now compulsory for anyone working with children to undergo an LEA clearance procedure, involving the Police National Computer and Police Records checks. This process applies to all paid school staff but additionally to new or re-elected governors and to parent volunteers.
