Rode School Dinners

As part of the schools healthy eating programme we have available home-cooked, hot dinners provided by Mrs B’s Catering. These meals are made from good quality ingredients and a vegetarian option is available.
  • Meals need to be paid in full for four (4) weeks, or part of the weeks, in advance
  • Cost is £2.25 / lunch / day, cheques should be made payable to Rode Methodist VC First School
  • Unfortunately, amendments cannot be made to choices during the 4 weeks
  • Credit notes are issued if a child misses a lunch due to abscence from school. The school needs to be advised of a missed meal on the morning of the child's absence
  • Credit notes will be used as part payment for the next four (4) weeks period
  • If you are in receipt of income support, income-based jobseeker’s allowance, child tax credit or the Guarantee element of State Pension Credit, and are not entitled to Working Tax Credit and have an annual income that does not exceed £14,495 then you do not have to pay for school lunches. For more information on this matter please speak to Mrs Tommey or Mrs Nichol
  • Child will still need to bring their own labelled water bottle, with clean fresh water each day for use at lunchtimes
  • Children who have packed lunches need to have their lunch boxes clearly labelled with their name on the outside
