Red Nose Day - The Big One
On 16th March 2007 the entire school visited the Planetarium at Berkley First School, Frome. As it was also Red Nose Day - The Big One, the children wore space-themed fancy dress for the day in exchange for a donation to the Comic Relief Charity. A wonderful sum of £111.50 was raised for the cause.

Sponsored Walk for the British Heart Foundation
In June 2005, all 50 children at Rode First School raised their heart rates by walking round and round and round ... our parish playing field. They had fun, got a few blisters and raised £200 for the British Heart Foundation. Mrs Jupp and Mrs Arney made the most delicious biscuits for the children to aid their recovery.More information about the British Heart Foundation
