About Rode
Rode is a lively, pretty Somerset village, situated about five miles from Frome and Trowbridge. The village is mentioned in the Domesday Book and has an interesting history, being home to several thriving wool mills in the 16th and 17th centuries.
Rode is by no means stuck in the past and has much to offer. Facilities in the village include a popular pre-school, shop and post office, a great childrens park and playing field with a skate ramp and cricket club.
